The Red Oak Center
The Red Oak CenterAt Christian Community Homes & Services, we are all bonded by the desire to improve our lives physically, socially, and emotionally.
We are proud to announce that the Red Oak Center is now open to the community for those age 55+, for a low monthly fee, no contract and no initiation fee! The Red Oak Center opened in the fall of 2007, with the exciting new concept to purposefully is a highly motivating environment with a unique approach to fitness, healthy lifestyles, and clinical recovery workouts when they are needed. To help achieve a better you, the Red Oak Center has state of the art equipment by Keiser. The Keiser equipment is all run on air pressure, which makes it much smoother and easier to use than comparable machines with iron weight stacks. Another great feature of the equipment is that they are adjustable by 1 pound increments with the simple press of a button.
The center also has 2 treadmills, an arm bike, a recumbent bike, and 2 recumbent steppers. There are also a variety of free weights, exercise balls, and thera-bands. The greatest part of the Red Oak Center is that every resident of the CCHS campus is eligible to use the Red Oak Center ABSOLUTELY FREE! ![]() The first step to joining the Red Oak Center is to go through an initial evaluation which is conducted by Travis Sanders, the Red Oak Center Director. This evaluation begins with a brief meeting to discuss the resident's health history, exercise history, personal goals, and to fill out a few other forms. The second step to joining the wellness center is to go through a short and quick seven part fitness assessment. This assessment is not meant to serve as any sort of competition among residents, but rather a way for each person to measure their own progress and also a tool for the Red Oak Center to identify which areas might need to be focused on. The seven parts of the fitness assessment includes:
